Hi - I have rosacea - not severe, I would say moderate. I have a lot of redness on my nose and that somewhat branches out to my cheeks. The MB products I have are the makeup remover soap, chamomile cleansing lotion, control cream, calma mask and aloe moisturizer. I noticed a lot of the redness calmed down for a while, but I really think it hasnt been as calm since Ive been using the aloe moisturizer which I bought later than the anti-redness kit. I cant use the control cream alone in the mornings because it has a tacky feeling on my skin and I use a powdery mineral makeup. Is there something you can recommend for a moisturizer that would be good for day and night to use in connection with the control cream that wont aggravate the rosacea and that doesnt feel sticky - I have to have a non-sticky surface or my mineral makeup wont go on smoothly and Im def. not ready to give it up! Also, do you have a recommendation for an eye cream - Im starting to get dark circles and lines as I am aging (Im almost 36). Thanks so much for your help! Until I threw the moisturizer in the mix I was really seeing a difference in the redness - more a difference than any prescription products I have tried! ...Read Response (asked by Melinda R of Lugoff, SC) |

Thank you for your interest in Mario Badescu Skin Care. We’re glad to hear that you’ve been enjoying the skin care line so far. If you think the .Aloe Moisturizer (SPF-15) is too heavy for you. I would suggest using the Control Moisturizer For Oily Skin. It is oil free, absorbs quickly without leaving a sticky residue and is great for sensitive skin prone to redness. For best results, always wait a few minutes to allow for absorption before applying your make up. Regarding an eye cream recommendation, one of the best combinations would be using 3-4 drops of the Cellufirm Drops underneath the daily Hyaluronic Eye Cream. The Cellufirm Drops help to minimize the appearance of fine lines while The Hyaluronic Eye Cream hydrates the delicate under eye area as it retains your own skin’s moisture levels. It’s the perfect anti-aging combination.

Hi. I would like to check what products I should use if I have sensitive and oily skin. I see that the product like your Cucumber Lotion has alcohol content in it which is not suitable for my sensitive red skin. Please advise on any other suitable alternatives/substitutes. Thanks! ...Read Response (asked by Huiyi H. of Unknown) |

For oily, sensitive skin, I would recommend using a mild regimen to gently clean skin while it controls excess oil output. First, I would use the Enzyme Cleansing Gel twice daily. This non-foaming, gel cleanser thoroughly removes daily make-up, dirt and oil without drying the skin. Papaya Extracts are exfoliating Alpha Hydroxy Acids that helps prevent dulling build-up that can cause blackheads and pimples. Follow with the Seaweed Cleansing Lotion. This is a non-drying, alcohol-free toner that cleans and disinfects dry and sensitive skin. Mild Witch Hazel formula removes pore clogging debris while Aloe Extract soothes sensitive areas. Use the Control Moisturizer For Oily Skin daily. This oil-free moisturizer will soften and soothe oily, sensitive skin. Balsam Peru based moisturizer absorbs quickly and reduces redness upon application. Prevent pores from clogging by using the Flower & Tonic Mask 1-2 times a week on the t-zone. This is a combination purifying and calming mask for congested, bumpy or slightly oily skin types. The Kaolin based formula absorbs dirt and oil from pores while the soothing, botanical Balsam Peru ingredient soothes minor redness and irritation.

I do not t really have that bad of a complexion but there are times where I just want to rip my face off. I always get pimples in the same spots on my face and they are on the corner of each side of my chin and my right cheek. I also get these very light little bumps that are not pimples but under the skin and sometimes will turn into one and have blackheads on my nose and chin and they really bother me. What regimen would you suggest for my skin type? I am also am very sensitive and have very light skin....Read Response (asked by Linsey S. of Largo, FL) |

Having combination/sensitive with occasional blemishes, it sounds as though one of our gentle cleansing product regimens for combination skin would effectively help improve your skin. I would first recommend using the Enzyme Cleansing Gel twice daily to cleanse skin and remove oil and impurities. Follow with our Seaweed Cleansing Lotion, which is a non-drying, non-alcohol toner that cleans and disinfects dry and sensitive skin. Mild Witch Hazel formula removes pore clogging debris while Aloe Extract soothes sensitive areas. Use the oil-free Aloe Moisturizer (SPF-15) daily to soften dry skin without clogging pores. For the occasional surfaced whitehead pimples that you experience, the Drying Lotion will help to dry it up overnight. The most effective spot treatment for deep bumps is the Sulfur based Buffering Lotion. It is a light, liquid antiseptic solution to soothe and heal cystic blemishes.

I am allergic to strawberries and would like to know what other scrubs you have to take the place of your Strawberry Scrub. ...Read Response (asked by Alison C. of Collierville, TN) |

Since you are allergic to strawberries, I would recommend the Almond & Honey Face Scrub. It is made with finely ground almonds and cornmeal combined with honey to buff away flaky skin without causing irritation. Gently massage on wet skin 2-3 times a week to slough off surface dullness to reveal softer, more radiant skin.

I was wondering if you had any advice for me. I do not have acne on my face, only the odd pimple once in a while, but I do have acne on my arms, from the elbows up. They are bumpy and have pimples on them. I do not like to show my arms because of this. Do you have a product that can help my situation? Thanks so much!...Read Response (asked by Jordan F. of Oakville) |

If you are experiencing acne on your arms, I would recommend the following products to help clean and clear the skin. I would suggest using the A.H.A. Botanical Body Soap to gently cleanse and exfoliate the skin. Papaya and grapefruit extracts help to breakdown dead skin cells and prevent clogged pores leaving skin looking healthy. After cleansing, apply the Special Cleansing Lotion O (For chest and back only). It is a disinfecting astringent that will dry up existing blemishes and prevent future eruptions. It is an anti-bacterial solution specifically formulated to help fight acne flare-ups on the body. It is important to avoid using any type of sponges or scrubs on the breakout areas. After showering, gently pat dry with a clean towel, do not rub dry. Rubbing the skin will only cause irritation and possibly lead to further breakouts. As for spot treatments, the Drying Lotion is an effective overnight treatment for surfaced whiteheads. Lastly, for stubborn cystic acne, we suggest using the Sulfur based Buffering Lotion. It is a lightweight liquid antiseptic solution to soothe and heal cystic blemishes.

If you have been diagnosed with Rosacea, it is important to keep your regimen extremely simple since the skin can be very delicate. When selecting a skin care regimen, it is important to choose mild products to help visibly reduce redness, even out skin tone, and smooth overall skin texture. Consistent use will offer optimal skin care results. Our priority is to help you achieve and maintain healthy, radiant skin. We would recommend using the Cream Soap suggested for mild cleansing of delicate skin. Follow with the Chamomile Cleansing Lotion to instantly soothe dry, sensitive skin. Chamomile Extract is a natural anti-inflammatory ingredient that helps to calm skin immediately. The Control Cream is enriched with Balsam Peru, a tree bark extract that soothes and reduces redness and irritation on the skin. This protective cream may be used morning and night to effectively moisturize and to calm sensitive skin. Enriched with skin-soothing botanicals, use the Calma Mask 2-3 times a week for 15 minutes to alleviate irritation and redness. In areas of extreme inflammation, apply a thin layer of the Control Cream underneath the mask.

For the most part my skin is pretty good. I’m 34 and fair skinned, with my skin occasionally prone to small whiteheads in the nose/chin area, but otherwise I’m fairly dry. My biggest concern is clogged pores on my nose. I’ve started using your Seaweed Soap Cleanser followed by the Honey Moisturizer and I am very happy with the results. Can you suggest anything for the clogged pores?...Read Response (asked by Delaney M. of Unknown) |

Since your biggest concern is clogged pores on your nose along with some small whiteheads, use the kaolin based Flower & Tonic Mask twice a week on your t-zone to discourage blackheads. It will help to absorb oil and impurities from pores as it calms and soothes sensitive skin types. On alternating days, use the mild Almond & Honey Face Scrub to exfoliate surface dullness and prevent any congestion. It is made with finely ground almond and cornmeal combined with honey to buff away flaky skin without irritating.

I’m wondering if you have a product that would help a cluster of under-the-skin bumps (they have not broken the surface yet, but are constantly there, like a pimple that never goes away). I tried a sample of the Drying Cream, and it helped somewhat but they never fully disappeared. I saw an e-mail for Silver Powder, and I was wondering if that would help. Please let me know your thoughts. ...Read Response (asked by Jodi T. of Vancouver, WA) |

Since you are experiencing deep cystic blemishes, I would recommend our Buffering Lotion as the best spot treatment. It will help to bring down the inflammation and heal the blemish. I would also recommend that you use a complete skin care regimen to help maintain healthy skin and to prevent breakouts. To help prevent the build-up of dead skin, washing twice daily with Enzyme Cleansing Gel will maintain the skins moisture as well as gently cleanse. Using the Special Cucumber Lotion after cleansing will disinfect the skin and prevent future breakouts. Applying the Oil Free Moisturizer (SPF-17) daily will hydrate and moisturize your skin while adding a daily sun protection. To control breakouts our Drying Mask will reduce surface oiliness while drying up acne prone or acne affected areas. The Healing & Soothing Mask will calm and soothe acne related redness and irritation while promoting the healing of blemishes.
