Skin Care Questions and Answers About pigmentation
I have been using Mario Badescu products for a couple months now and so far I am very pleased with the results. I am 20 years old and I have been struggling with acne for many years now, and my acne has been clearing up thanks to the Mario Badescu products but I am noticing that I have a lot of sun spots, acne scars and little pimples on my forehead. Could you suggest any products that would help? I am also wondering what you would recommend for a day and night moisturizer and also an eye cream. I am also noticing little white dots under my eyes. Any ideas? Products? Thank you so much! I love Mario Badescu products!...Read Response (asked by Sarah M. of East Peoria, IL)
We are glad to hear that you have had such positive results with our skin care line. In regards to sun spots and old acne scars, I recommend using the Oil Free Moisturizer (SPF-17). It will help to balance your skin and ensure that your skin does not become too dry. In addition, it will offer daily sun protection to prevent further discoloration of any hyper-pigmentation. The Glycolic Foaming Cleanser will deep clean your skin and promote gentle cell turnover to help remove surface dull skin build up. With consistent use, it will even out skin tone and improve the overall texture of your skin. We recommend that you use it 1-2 times a week in place of your regular cleanser. The "little white dots" that you have under your eyes may be Milia. Milia are deep seeded white bumps that form when skin cells become trapped rather than exfoliate naturally. They should be taken care of by a dermatologist. In the meantime, avoid the use of any eye creams, especially heavier ones. You may however use the Ceramide Eye Gel, an ultra-lightweight hydrating eye gel that can be stored in the refrigerator. Use a little morning and night to soften the delicate eye area while it calms down any under eye the puffiness.
How can I get rid of acne scars? I am not sure which product of Mario Badescu I should try that can diminish the appearance of my acne scars. Is there a product that can effectively get rid of acne scars?...Read Response (asked by Angelina S. of San Lorenzo, CA)
If you have old acne scars, I would recommend the following products to help improve your skin: The first suggestion would be to use the Oil Free Moisturizer (SPF-17) to help moisturize and protect skin from sun exposure. Daily sun protection will discourage any hyper-pigmentation from any further discoloration. Use the Glycolic Foaming Cleanser 2-3 times a week at night to remove surface dead skin and even out skin tone. The overall texture of your skin will become smoother as it effectively diminishes the appearance of acne scars. Use the Whitening Mask 2-3 times a week for 5-7 minutes. This hydrating mask contains Kojic Acid and Licorice to help brighten uneven skin tones and gently reduce the look of old acne scars and discoloration.

Using the Glycolic Foaming Cleanser two to three times a week will deep clean your pores, exfoliate surface dullness and encourage a more even skin tone. For daytime moisture the Oil Free Moisturizer (SPF-17) will provide daily sun protection and help to prevent further discoloration. To hydrate and brighten uneven skin tone our Whitening Mask will gently reduce the look of old acne scars and discolorations from the sun.
