This past winter was pretty hard on us on the East Coast, but here it is—the first day of Spring. It’s a new day, an awakening, and a rebirth of everything lovely and bright. It’s a season of flowers blooming and wedding preparation; it’s a time that heralds the coming of warmth and sunshine and celebration.
It’s everything we’ve been anticipating for months.
It’s not quite as warm out as some of us hoped, but soon enough I’ll be gathering up my heaviest wool sweaters, carefully folding them, and putting them away in a hard-to-reach corner of the closet. I won’t need them for a while! (*See below for a note on storing your favorite sweaters!)
This Spring is also a time for me to switch out my winter Night Cream for something a bit lighter. In this case, I’ll set aside my Seaweed Night Cream in favor of the Oil Free Moisturizer. Keep in mind that my skin is combination-oily and tends to stay on the oily side; if your skin is drier, you may want to stick with your Night Cream for now.
You might find that you’re suddenly spending more time outside—don’t get caught unprepared! If you’re not already, be sure to apply a moisturizer with sunblock every day
How are you preparing for Spring?
*Be sure to wash and thoroughly dry sweaters before storing them. Also, ditch the plastic storage containers; natural fibers need to breathe. Use old pillowcases to store your woolens!
