Let's Talk: Forehead Wrinkles

forehead wrinkles

Wrinkles, as a rule, are a pretty ordinary part of aging— forehead wrinkles being no exception. Whether vertical or horizontal, forehead wrinkles are super-common. (I like to call my furrow lines my ‘elevens’ but they are more technically known as glabellar lines) These wrinkles are caused by the repetition of normal facial expressions as well as exposure to the sun. Here’s what you can do about forehead wrinkles:

  • Exfoliate with a chemical exfoliant such as Glycolic Acid. We love this exfoliating cleanser.
  • Use skin care products with ingredients such as Collagen (or ingredients that help boost Collagen, such as Peptides). Other things to look out for: Hyaluronic Acid and Elastin.
  • Keep your skin well-hydrated. Even young people look a bit wrinkly without proper hydration. If your usual moisturizer isn’t enough, you may want to switch to a night cream or specific anti-aging cream before bed (we love this one with Peptides). Here's why>
  • Keep the sun off your face as much as possible and wear a daily moisturizer with an SPF of at least 15. Definitely invest in a few cute sun hats. Having bangs likely doesn’t hurt either (not that we’re suggesting you cut your hair!).
