A Peek at My Current Skin Care Regimen

regimen Although each of us has unique skin, we all fall into a skin type category: oily, dry, combination, combo/dry, and combo/oily. Perhaps you also have skin conditions thrown in the mix to make your skin even more unique: sensitivity, acne, signs of aging- the list goes on. I’m excited to share with you my personal skin care regimen, but keep in mind that it works for my skin and it may not work for you. This is why we take a customized approach toward skin care here at Mario Badescu. Oh, and in case you’re wondering, my skin type is combination—combo/oily in the warmer months and combo/dry in the cooler months.

A.M. Regimen Step 1: I start off by washing my face with our Seaweed Cleansing Soap. If I mechanically exfoliated the night before (with the Almond and Honey Face Scrub), then I use the Enzyme Cleansing Gel for a little extra boost of exfoliation. Step 2: I apply the Seaweed Cleansing Lotion (toner). Step 3: I immediately apply our Cellufirm Drops all over my face, including the eye area as it acts as both a serum and an eye cream. Then I layer the Hyaluronic Acid Eye Cream over the Cellufirm Drops on my eye area. Step 4: Lastly, I apply the Oil-Free Moisturizer SPF 30 on my face and neck. P.M. Regimen Step 1: I cleanse my skin with the Seaweed Cleansing Soap. Step 2: I apply the Seaweed Cleansing Lotion (toner). If my skin is a little dull, then I switch to the Glycolic Acid Toner for some Alpha Hydroxy Acid action. Step 3: I apply the Cellufirm Drops all over my face and eye area. Step 4: I use the A.H.A. & Ceramide Moisturizer on face and neck. Step 5: Lastly, I apply the Vitamin A-D-E Neck Cream on my neck and décolleté. *Extras* • Every three nights, I exfoliate with the Almond & Honey Face Scrub. • Each week (well, when I remember), I use either the Flower & Tonic Mask when I’m more oily that day or the Super Collagen Mask when my combination skin is leaning toward dry that day. • On days where my eyes are a bit puffy and tired from a lack of sleep, I use our Ceramide Eye Gel to perk them up. FYI, I keep my Ceramide Eye Gel in the fridge so when I need to use it, it has a cooling effect to constrict the blood vessels and provide further soothing properties. Is it time to adjust your skin care regimen according to your skin type?
