Natural Beauty: 5 Ingredients From Nature

If there’s one thing we love just as much as we love our natural beauty products, it’s food. Experimenting with healthy foods for healthy skin is kind of a pastime of ours; and if ever you’re in need of some quick and healthy meal ideas, we’ve done the nitty-gritty work for you with a roundup of our favorite recipes.

The skin care commitment is real, you guys: you are what you eat, after all, and we’ll do what it takes to achieve – and maintain – our most perfect complexion yet.

Here’s what we love for our glowing skin menu – and in our skincare products:

COCONUT OIL

We don’t like to toot our own horn, but we did use and love this stuff before the whole Coconut Oil craze kicked in, #justsayin. It’s a lush, skin-softening moisturizer all on its own; plus, Coconut Oil is packed with saturated fats – triglycerides – that help prevent moisture loss while keeping skin soft and smooth. Lauric Acid, another fatty acid, gives this emollient unique antimicrobial and disinfectant properties.

CUCUMBER EXTRACT

You already know. Soothing and refreshing properties make it the perfect snack and extract for skincare. Cucumber has a cooling, tightening effect on skin that helps soothe irritation and reduce any swelling.

It just feels good on the skin – especially on sticky, hot days, or whenever your skin’s experiencing minor sensitivities.

Find it here: Cucumber Cream Soap, Cucumber Make-Up Remover Cream, Cucumber Cleansing Lotion, Special Cucumber Lotion, Cucumber Tonic Mask

ALOE VERA

Aloe Vera acts as an antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, healing, moisturizing, and soothing agent – making it the ideal botanical extract for those with oily or problematic skin. Plus, it’s packed with amino acids, active enzymes, fatty acids, minerals, Salicylic Acid, and vitamins that nourish and replenish the skin.

Find it here: Acne Facial Cleanser, Aloe Lotion, Aloe Vera Toner, Aloe Moisturizer SPF 15, Peptide Renewal Serum, Vitamin C Serum, Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs & Rosewater, After Sun Cooling Gel

BEE POLLEN

Bee Pollen is an antioxidant-packed superfood we love in our smoothies and in our skin care. When applied topically, it serves as a powerful anti-aging ingredient thanks to its high Nucleic Acid and Vitamins A, B, C, D, and E content. In addition to fighting against free radicals, these properties also give it an antibiotic effect that can help reduce inflammation.

CHAMOMILE EXTRACT

Chamomile, known best for its calming effects, makes for the perfect sleepy-time tea and soothing agent in skincare. It’s a powerful anti-inflammatory that boasts calming and healing properties that are helpful for sensitive or irritated skin.
