Our Suggested Skincare Regimen for You

Once you’ve been diagnosed with having Psoriasis, your dermatologist will determine the most appropriate method of treatment – of which will include topical medications, systematic medications, or phototherapy. Expanding your regimen beyond prescribed medication will give you greater control over symptoms and providing much-needed relief. Using lotions, creams and moisturizers at least twice daily will effectively soothe, protect and moisturize the skin by providing a barrier against water loss.

When selecting a skin care regimen, it is important to avoid ingredients that may irritate the skin. Always consult your dermatologist or doctor before using any skincare products.

Using mild, non-drying, detergent-free soaps and cleansers enriched with soothing properties, followed by an equally soothing and nourishing moisturizers – both key steps in any skincare routine for those with sensitive, dry skin regardless of the products you choose to use. Applying calming creams and masks every so often will also help in relieve and soothe irritation.
    1. Cleanse. Massage our mildest cleanser, the Cream Soap, in circular motions on wet skin, avoiding the eyes. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry – don’t rub! – to avoid leaving the skin red or irritated. Repeat twice daily, once in the morning and evening. One to two times a week, substitute your usual cleanser for the Glycolic Foaming Cleanser. Glycolic Acid will help break down build-up of dead skin cells and loosen flakes and scales.

    2. Tone. Follow the cleanser with our Chamomile Cleansing Lotion for best results. Our gentlest toner is formulated to soothe and tone irritated/sensitive skin with Chamomile extracts help calm inflammation. Twice daily after cleaning and pat drying your skin, dampen a cotton ball or cloth with the lotion, wiping in an outward direction until the cotton comes up clean.

    3. Moisturize. Gently massage in our Kera Moisturizer after toning. Formulated for dry/sensitive skin, it is an ideal protective base against wind and dry climates. Contains Keratoplast to help calm redness.

    4. Soothe and calm irritated skin. On clean skin, apply a thin layer of either the Calma Mask or Azulene Mask. Leave on for 15-20 minutes and rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water to avoid drying out and irritating your face. Follow with a moisturizer or night cream. Repeat 2-3 times a week, or more often if necessary.
Once you’ve established and fallen into a steady rhythm with your skincare routine, being introducing extra products one-by-one. It’s the extra steps you take in caring for your skin that make all the difference. Apply a few drops of our Rose Hips Nourishing Oil before using your daytime moisturizer or night cream for best results. Apply the Lip Wax SPF 15 liberally to keep lips moisturized and prevent flaking near or around the mouth. Throughout the day, spray a light misting of our Facial Spray to soothe and rehydrate the skin.
